Transgender Pension Scheme is a welfare initiative launched by the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the upliftment and support of transgender persons.
The scheme provides a monthly pension of Rs. 650 to transgender persons who are above 18 years of age and belong to the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category.
A monthly pension of Rs. 1200 is provided to transgender persons who are above 80 years of age or have a 70% disability.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to transgender persons and ensure their social security and protection.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of Himachal Pradesh.
- The applicant must be above 18 years of age.
- The applicant must belong to the BPL category.
- The applicant must have a transgender identity certificate issued by the District Magistrate or Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
Application Process
- The applicant can obtain the application form from the District Social Welfare Officer or the concerned Tehsil Welfare Officer.
- The application form must be duly filled with accurate information and submitted along with necessary documents such as a BPL card, bank account details, and a transgender identity certificate.
- The application is then verified and processed by the concerned authorities, and the pension amount is disbursed to the beneficiary's bank account.
