In the year 1984, the Rajasthan Government started a scholarship to encourage the education of Scheduled Tribes.

Schedule Tribe Pre-Metric Scholarship Class 06 To 08 - Introduction

The Rajasthan government aims to provide educational opportunities to students belonging to Scheduled Tribes, specifically those studying in grades 6 to 8.

This program targets students from Scheduled Tribes whose parents or guardians are not income taxpayers and who are not receiving any other scholarship or allowance for study from central, state, or public sources.

Benefits

  • For Scheduled Caste Boy Students Rs. 75 per month.
  • For Scheduled Caste Girl Students Rs. 125 per month.

Eligibility

  • The student must belong to the Scheduled Tribe category.
  • The student must be a regular student in classes 6 to 8 in schools run by the Central Government, State Government, Municipalities, or schools recognized by the Department of Education.
  • The student’s parents or guardians must not be income taxpayers or must be deceased.
  • The student must not be receiving any other scholarship or allowance for study from central, state, or public sources.
  • The student must not have failed in the lower class in the last session. If the student fails in any year's examination, the scholarship will be stopped. However, if the student passes the examination, he will be eligible for the scholarship in the new class from the next session and must apply for a new scholarship again.
  • Students who are not living in hostels are supported by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Application Process

  1. Applicant should log in to the RajSSO portal using his/her SSOID.
  2. If an SSOID is not available, the applicant should first register on the RajSSO portal to create an SSOID and update the SSO profile at first login.
  3. After successful authentication and updating the SSOID profile, select the scheme name.
  4. Select his/her name, bank account, and fill in personal details.
  5. Upload the required documents.
  6. Click the "SUBMIT" button.
