The "Saraswati Sadhana Yojana to Economically Backward Class Girls studying in Class 9" is a welfare scheme by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Gujarat. The scheme offers free bicycles to girls enrolled in Class 9 in government and grant-in-aided schools, facilitating easier access to education and encouraging regular school attendance. This physical aid helps in improving educational participation and empowering female students from economically weaker backgrounds.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Gujarat.
  • The applicant must be a female student.
  • The applicant must be studying in Class 9.
  • The applicant must be enrolled in a government or grant-in-aided school in Gujarat.
  • The applicant must belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
  • The applicant's family income must not exceed ₹6,00,000 per annum.

Application Process

Registration Process:

  1. Visit the official website: www.digitalgujarat.gov.in
  2. Click on the “Register” button on the homepage.
  3. You will be redirected to the registration form page.
  4. Fill in the required details such as: Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Password, etc.
  5. Submit the registration form to create your account.

Log In Process:

  1. Go to www.digitalgujarat.gov.in
  2. Click on the “Login” button.
  3. Select the suitable login option (e.g., Citizen Login).
  4. You will be redirected to the login form page.
  5. Enter your registered Email ID/Mobile Number and Password.
  6. Click Login to access your account.

Apply for a New Service:

  1. Log in to the portal using your registered credentials.
  2. After login, your user profile will appear showing all previously taken services.
  3. Click on “Request a New Service” or the relevant option.
  4. You will be redirected to a list of services.
  5. Select the desired service from the list.
  6. Click “Continue to Service”.
  7. A form will open—fill in all the required information.
  8. (Optional) Click to auto-fill details from your profile.
  9. Click “Next” after completing each section.
  10. Upload/attach the necessary documents or import them via DigiLocker.
  11. Review all information and click “Submit” to complete the application.
