The "Registered Construction Worker in Case of His/Her Natural Death" scheme by the JKBOCW Welfare Board, Labour Department, Jammu & Kashmir, provides financial assistance to the nominee or dependents of a registered construction worker in the event of their natural death.
Registered Construction Worker in case of his/her Natural Death (JKBOCWWB) - Introduction
Launched on 1st January 2018, the scheme "Registered Construction Worker in Case of His/Her Natural Death" is a Welfare Scheme by the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Labour Department, Jammu & Kashmir. Through this scheme, financial assistance of ₹2,00,000/- is provided to the nominee or dependents in the event of natural death of a registered BOC worker. The applications are accepted online as well as offline.
Benefits
2,00,000/- is provided to the nominee/dependent of the deceased construction worker.
Eligibility
The applicant should be a nominee/dependent of a registered member/worker who has deceased due to natural causes.
Application Process
- Step 1: The interested applicant should visit the JKBOCWWB office during office hours and request a hard copy of the prescribed application form from the staff responsible for issuing and collecting filled-in applications. OR The interested applicant can print the Scheme application form (Page no. 19).
- Step 2: In the application form, fill in all mandatory fields, paste a passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all mandatory documents (self-attested, if required).
- Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the required documents to the Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) of your district.
- Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the concerned authority upon submission. Ensure the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission and a unique identification number (if applicable).
- NOTE: Ensure that the application is submitted within the prescribed period, if any.
