The scheme “Pension Scheme for Cancer Patients” was launched by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura. The scheme aims to provide a monthly pension of ₹2,000/- to persons suffering from cancer.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be a resident of Tripura.
- The income of the applicant should not exceed ₹1,50,000 per annum.
- No member of the applicant’s family (father, mother, son(s), or unmarried daughter(s)) should be in government service.
- The applicant should be suffering from cancer.
Application Process
Applications will be invited in the prescribed form by giving wide publicity through print and electronic media.
- Step 01: The applicant should take a print of the prescribed format of the application form.
- Step 02: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attestation, if required).
- Step 03: Application should be submitted to the Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of the concerned area.
- Step 04: Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
