The scheme aims to provide a monthly pension to abandoned married women, mentally ill husband/wife & destitute unmarried women in the state. Under this scheme, beneficiaries receive a pension of ₹1,200/- per month, and in case of mental disability (spouse), the amount is ₹1,400/- per month.

Parityakta Pension Scheme - Introduction

The scheme "Parityakta Pension Scheme" was launched by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand, aims to provide a monthly pension to abandoned married women, mentally ill husbands or wives, and destitute unmarried women in the state. Under this scheme, abandoned married women, mentally ill spouses and destitute unmarried women (above 40 years of age) residing in Uttarakhand who are Below Poverty Line (BPL) cardholders or whose family income from all sources does not exceed ₹4,000/- per month are eligible for the pension. The pension amount is credited to the beneficiary’s account within one month from the date of approval.

Benefits

  • Rs. 1,200 per month is provided to abandoned women or unmarried destitute women.
  • Rs. 1,400 per month is provided to mentally ill husbands or wives.

Eligibility

The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand. The applicant’s total family income should not exceed ₹4,000/- per month or the applicant must belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.

The applicant should fall into one of the following categories:

  • An abandoned married woman (the marriage must be more than one year old, and the husband must have been missing or has abandoned her for more than one year), OR
  • A mentally ill married person (husband or wife), OR
  • An unmarried, destitute woman aged above 40 years.

Note: If a destitute unmarried woman gets married, the applicant will become ineligible.

Application Process

  • Visit the official ssp.uk.gov.in of Uttarakhand.
  • Click on the "Online Application" button in the main menu bar.
  • Select the "New Online Application" option from the dropdown menu.
  • A registration form will appear. Select the desired scheme and fill in the required details step by step.
  • Ensure the applicant’s name exactly matches the name on the Aadhaar card and bank passbook.
  • Verify that auto-filled fields such as scheme, district, area, tehsil, block, panchayat, village, city, and ward are accurate, as they cannot be edited later.
  • When entering the applicant’s name, father’s/husband’s name, and address in Hindi, type them in English; the system will automatically convert them to Hindi.
  • Provide only Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers and CBS bank account numbers.
  • Scan and prepare all required documents in PDF format before beginning the application.
  • Once all details are filled, click the "Save" button to save the application form.
  • After saving, login credentials (ID and password) will be sent via SMS to the registered mobile number.
  • Use the received credentials to log in to the portal through the “Applicant Login” option.
  • Review and update application information if needed after logging in.
  • Click on the “Upload Documents” section to upload all required documents.
  • Ensure all documents are in PDF format, under 1 MB in size, and are clear and valid.
  • After uploading, download and verify each document to confirm accuracy.
  • Once all documents are uploaded, click on “Print Application Form” to obtain a hard copy of the submitted application.

Once the application is found to be valid and approved, the pension amount is credited to the beneficiary’s account within one month from the date of approval.
