Old Age Pension Scheme - Punjab - Introduction
The Punjab State Government has started a pension scheme for the elderly citizens of the state. The primary objective of this scheme is to provide financial security to those sections of society who lack a stable source of income. This is a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, meaning the pension amount will be directly transferred into the beneficiary's bank account.
Benefits
Amount : ₹ 1,500/- per month
Eligibility
- Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab.
- The Annual Income of Beneficiary should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- per year.
- The Age of Beneficiary should be :-
- Men: 65 Years or Above.
- Women: 58 Years or Above.
- Beneficiary should own any of the below mentioned amount of land :-
- Maximum 2.5 Acre Nehri or Chahi Land, OR
- Maximum 5 Acre Barani Land, OR
- Waterlogged 5 Acre Land.

Application Process
- Step-1: Applicants have to visit the official website and download the punjab.gov.in.
- Step-2: Beneficiary can get the Offline Application Form of Punjab Old Age Pension Scheme free of cost from any of the following Offices or Centre :-
- Office of District Social Security Officer.
- Office of Child Development Project Officer.
- Panchayat and B.D.P.O Office.
- SDM Office.
- Anganwadi Centre.
- Sewa Kendra
- Step-3: Fill out the application form.
- Step-4: Attach required documents.
- Step-5: Submit the Application Form of Punjab Old Age Pension Scheme along with all the documents in the same office or centre from where it was collected.
