NEC Stipend And Book Grant Scheme - Introduction
The Directorate of Higher Education and the Government of Nagaland offers the NEC Stipend and Book Grant Scheme in Nagaland. This scholarship is available to students pursuing higher professional courses and is open to both Scheduled Tribe and General category candidates. Only candidates domiciled in Nagaland are eligible to apply.
The number of stipends awarded each year is decided by the State Government, taking into account the funds available. Consequently, the amount awarded at each level of study may increase or decrease depending on fund availability.
The scheme invites applications from Scheduled Tribe and General category students pursuing higher professional courses. Its main objective is to cultivate a spirit of national integration, global understanding, and social responsibility, while empowering logical thinking and fostering imaginative and innovative reasoning among students.
Eligibility
- ST and General Students of Nagaland State.
- ST students who have secured 60% marks in the last qualifying final examination, and General Category students who have secured 75% marks.
- Students pursuing higher professional courses of studies approved by NEC.
