Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Janjati Gram Vikas Yojana - Introduction
The scheme “Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Janjati Gram Vikas Yojana” by the Department of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority & Backward Class Welfare, Govt. of Jharkhand, aims to promote the social, economic, educational, and health development of Scheduled Tribe communities in tribal-dominated villages. Under this scheme, benefits such as financial grants, equipment, training programs, & healthcare services are provided to the tribal population to ensure their holistic development.
Benefits
- Financial support of ₹1,00,000/- to women self-help groups (SHGs) in selected villages as a grant.
- Assistance of up to ₹2,00,000/- for self-employment or equipment for unemployed educated youth.
- Organization of regular health camps focusing on diseases like malaria, sickle cell anemia, and other chronic illnesses.
- Support for tribal-specific economic activities, including purchasing lac and minor forest produce at minimum support prices.
- Training programs for women SHGs and unemployed youth through selected NGOs and professional institutions.
- Provision of forward marketing linkage to enhance economic activities.
- Promotion of integrated village development plans under traditional village leaders’ supervision.
Eligibility
- The group must be selected by the Gram Sabha.
- The applicant should belong to a Scheduled Tribe community.
- The applicant’s village should have at least 80% tribal population.
- The village should be included in the list of selected villages under the scheme.
- The applicant should be an unemployed educated youth.
- The applicant must have passed at least 10th grade.
- Priority will be given to those with vocational training.
- The applicant should belong to a Scheduled Tribe community.

Application Process
- Step 1: The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the District Welfare Office and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
- Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
- Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the District Welfare Office.
- Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the District Welfare Office to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
