Fish Farming Diversification (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe) Scheme - Introduction
The scheme "Fish Farming Diversification (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe) Scheme" was launched by the Department of Fisheries, Government of Uttarakhand.
The scheme aims to promote sustainable livelihoods for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities through fishery-based diversified activities. Under this scheme, a 60% subsidy is provided to eligible fish farmers for pond renovation, integrated fish farming (duck/poultry/fruit plantation), and mobile fish stalls to support fish processing and marketing.
Benefits
Pond Renovation:
- ₹42,000 subsidy (60%) for 100 sq. meter pond (total cost: ₹70,000).
- ₹3,00,000 subsidy (60%) for 1.0 hectare pond in plain areas (total cost: ₹5,00,000).
Note: Fish farmers who already have a pond and are involved in fish/poultry farming and other integrated activities receive a 60% subsidy.
Integrated Farming Unit:
- ₹83,000 subsidy (60%) for 1 unit in hilly areas (total cost: ₹1,39,000).
- ₹3,96,000 subsidy (60%) for 1 unit in plain areas (total cost: ₹6,60,000).
Mobile Fish Stall:
- ₹1,50,000 subsidy (60%) against ₹2,50,000 cost for landless individuals for fish marketing.
Mode of Disbursement:
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the beneficiary's bank account.
Eligibility
- The applicant should be a native of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community.
- The applicant should be engaged in fish production and possess a pond or be landless and interested in engaging in fish processing or marketing businesses to be eligible.
Application Process
- Step 1: Visit e-Services Apuni Sarkar (eservices.uk.gov.in) and click “Sign Up” on the Citizen Login page.
- Step 2: Fill in the registration form with your name, email, mobile number, etc., and click Submit.
- Step 3: You will receive your User ID and password via SMS on your registered mobile number.
- Step 1: Navigate to the Citizen Login page and enter your User ID (email or mobile) and password, complete the captcha, then click Sign In.
- Step 2: Once logged in, your dashboard appears. Click “Apply for New Application” or similar to begin.
- Step 3: Choose the Fisheries department, from the list, select the specific scheme you wish to apply for.
- Step 4: The portal will list mandatory documents required and upload mandatory documents, after uploading, click Submit to proceed.
- Step 5: Enter all required details in the form (personal, land, bank, etc.). Use Save to save progress, preview to review, or Delete Draft to reset.
- Step 6: Once all fields are accurately filled, click Submit. You will receive an Application ID receipt, which you can download.
- Step 1: The application goes to the concerned department for review.
