Financial Assistance to Permanent Residents of Uttarakhand for Religious Pilgrimages by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand aims to promote religious travel and pilgrimage by providing financial assistance to eligible permanent residents of the state who participate in and complete the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Through this scheme, monetary benefits are provided to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other permanent residents of Uttarakhand. The scheme is implemented by Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam. The financial assistance is processed after the submission and verification of required documents and confirmation of successful completion of the Yatra.
Benefits
- A financial grant of ₹50,000 is provided to eligible Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe residents of Uttarakhand who participate in the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra organised by the Government of India.
- Permanent residents of the state from other categories who complete the Yatra via the Uttarakhand route are also eligible for financial support through Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam.
Mode of Disbursement:
- Direct benefit transfer (DBT) post-verification and approval.
Frequency of Disbursement:
- One-time benefit.
Eligibility
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant should have successfully completed the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra organised by the Government of India.
- The applicant should have undertaken the Yatra via the Uttarakhand route.
Preference / Priority / Reservation / Relaxation:
- The applicant belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes is entitled to financial assistance of ₹50,000.
Application Process
Registration Process:
- Visit eservices.uk.gov.in and click on the “Sign Up Here†button.
- Fill in the required details: Email ID, Gender, Name, Mobile Number, Date of Birth, District, Tehsil, Address of Applicant, and Notification Language Preference.
- Click on “Submit†.
Post-Registration Process:
- Visit eservices.uk.gov.in portal.
- In the “Citizen Login†window, enter your phone number or email ID, correct password, and captcha code.
- Click on the “Sign In†button.
- From the left side menu, click on “DBT Services†, then choose “Department of Culture†.
- Click on the scheme “Financial Assistance to Permanent Residents of Uttarakhand for Religious Pilgrimages†.
- Enter the mobile number and verify with the OTP.
- Click on the checkbox for WhatsApp Verification (for receiving updates regarding your application via WhatsApp).
- Upload all the mandatory documents and click on “Submit†.
- The application can be tracked from the “Profile†section.
