In the event of the death of a pensioner who was receiving a pension from the Board, a family pension shall be given to the surviving spouse by the Meghalaya Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MBOCWWB).
Family Pension (MBOCWWB) - Introduction
The scheme “Family Pension” is a social security scheme, implemented by the Meghalaya Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MBOCWWB), Labour Department, Government of Meghalaya. Under the scheme, in the event of the death of a pensioner who was receiving a pension from the Board, a family pension shall be given to the surviving spouse by the Board.
Benefits
- In the event of the death of the pensioner, a family pension shall be given to the surviving spouse.
- The amount of pension will be 50% of the pension received by the pensioner or ₹100/-, whichever is higher.
Eligibility
- The beneficiary should be a resident of Meghalaya.
- The deceased individual/worker should have been receiving a pension from the Meghalaya Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
- In the event of the death of the pensioner, the surviving spouse shall be eligible for the family pension.
- The spouse of the pensioner should not be receiving any pension from the Government/Semi-Government/Private Organization.
- The spouse of the pensioner should not be receiving any salary from the Government/Semi-Government/Private Organization.
Application Process
An application in megbocwwb.gov.in shall be submitted along with all the relevant documents as may be specified by the BOARD to the concerned office.
