The scheme "Drone Policy" by the Information Technology Development Agency, Government of Uttarakhand, aims to promote large-scale deployment of drones for governance and public services, especially in remote regions of the state.
Through this scheme, support is extended for innovation in drone technology, drone system design and manufacturing, and for developing a drone service-based ecosystem.
The scheme also aims to enhance the use of drones in industries, administration, and education, and to increase the reach of the state through drone-based applications.

- A student, youth, or researcher from a university or polytechnic college located in Uttarakhand.
- An entity associated with a drone-related startup recognized under state or central government startup policies.
Application Process
- Step 1: The applicant must approach an institution affiliated with the Information Technology Development Agency, Uttarakhand (e.g., ITDA).
- Step 2: The applicant must submit the application form along with required documents either offline at the ITDA office or via the notified online portal (if applicable).
