Punjab State Government started a pension for disabled persons of the state.
Disabled Person Pension Scheme - Punjab - Introduction
Disabled people often do not have any permanent source of income. Due to this, they are not able to take care of their daily need expenses. The Government of Punjab comes to the rescue of disabled people by starting the Disability Pension Scheme in the state. The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial support to disabled people of Punjab. The Social Security and Women & Child Development Department of the Punjab Government is the nodal department for this scheme.
Benefits
Amount : ₹ 1,500/- per month
Eligibility
- Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab.
- Applicant should be Disabled and the Disability Percentage should be more than 50%.
- The Annual Income of Family should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- per Year.
- People with mental disabilities are eligible regardless of their specific disability.

Application Process
- Step-1: Applicants have to visit the connect.punjab.gov.in and download the punjab.gov.in.
- Step-2: Fill out the application form.
- Step-3: Attach required documents.
- Step-4: Submit the Application Form along with all the documents in the same office or centre from where it was collected.
