The “Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme” is a scheme under the Chief Minister State Livestock Mission, introduced by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote self-employment at the local level by offering interest subsidies on bank loans (up to three years) for setting up various livestock units.
Under this scheme, residents of Uttarakhand are eligible for a 90% interest subsidy on loans taken for setting up cow or buffalo rearing units. The scheme supports the establishment of dairy units such as 5-cow units, 10-cow units, 2-buffalo units, and 5-buffalo units, thereby encouraging sustainable livelihood through dairy farming.

- The applicant should be a resident of Uttarakhand.
