The State government of Bihar launched the Chief Minister Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme (Sambal) scheme with the aim of improving the lives of disabled persons. Financial assistance is provided by the government through these schemes.
Chief Minister Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme (Sambal) - Introduction
The main objective of this scheme is to provide quick benefits for the welfare of disabled persons across all disability sector schemes run by the state government.
It aims to increase awareness about disabled persons, ensure their rights, and empower them physically, socially, educationally, and economically.
For the operation of Sambal, the state government provides 100% of the required amount.
Similarly, for the state's participation in National Trust schemes, the state government provides the necessary supplementary grant amount to beneficiaries under this scheme.
Benefits
- A loan of up to Rs. 2.00 lakh will be given for self-employment.
- The scholarship will be given for teaching in special schools, at a rate lower than that given to non-disabled people.
- In very special cases, the rate of grant and state grant in National Trust schemes will be payable according to the needs of the scheme and the specific beneficiary.
Eligibility
- The age limit is 18-60 years for self-employment loans and more than 5 years for artificial limbs and equipment.
- In very special cases, a grant will be payable for all cases covered by multiple disabilities and judgments, with no restriction on income, age, etc.
- The age limit for students in the special school is 6-18 years.
- For the shelter homes (Ashiyana / Saket), the minimum age limit of the beneficiary (male or female) is 18 years.

- Only eligible candidates as per guidelines/advertisement should fill up the form with Personal Details.
- Upload Photo & Signature.
