The scheme aims to promote self-employment among marginalized communities through sustainable sheep rearing practices. Through this scheme, a sheep-rearing unit consisting of 10 female sheep and 1 male sheep (aged between 10 to 14 months) is provided to eligible beneficiaries.

Bhed Palan Yojana - Introduction

Bhed Palan Yojana was launched by the Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Uttarakhand, to promote self-employment among economically weaker sections through sheep rearing.

Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided by the State Government to eligible beneficiaries for purchasing sheep to establish a sheep-rearing unit comprising 10 female sheep and 1 male sheep, for a duration of 10 to 14 months.

The scheme encourages the improvement of economic conditions of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by providing them with sustainable livelihood opportunities in animal husbandry.

Benefits

  • Financial support is provided to establish a sheep rearing unit consisting of 10 female sheep and 1 male sheep for a period of 10 to 14 months.
  • The total cost of the unit is ₹70,000/-, out of which 90% (₹63,000/-) is borne by the State Government, and 10% (₹7,000/-) is contributed by the beneficiary.

Expected Time of Disbursement: After selection and completion of departmental procedures, the beneficiary is provided the amount through DBT within one to two months to buy sheep.

Eligibility

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category.
  • The applicant should be listed in the SECC (Socio-Economic Caste Census) database.
  • The applicant should be interested in establishing a sheep-rearing unit for self-employment.

Application Process

  • Visit the eservices.uk.gov.in portal.
  • On the homepage, locate and click on the "Sign Up" option to create a new citizen account.
  • Fill in all the required fields with accurate information, i.e., Email ID, Gender, Name, Mobile number, Date of Birth, District, Address, etc. After entering your details, click the "Submit" button.
  • Upon successful registration, you will receive your User ID and Password on your registered mobile number.
  • Visit the eservices.uk.gov.in portal.
  • On the homepage, locate Citizen Login and enter your User ID (Email ID or Mobile Number) and the Password received. Enter the captcha code displayed and click on "Sign In" to access your dashboard.
  • In your dashboard, click on the option to apply for a new application. Select the relevant department associated with the desired service. Click on the specific service name you wish to apply for.
  • Upload all required documents as specified for the selected service. After uploading, click on the "Submit" button to proceed.
  • Fill in all necessary details in the application form. You have options to "Save" the form for later, "Preview" the application, or "Delete Draft" if needed. Once all details are accurately filled, click on "Submit" to finalize your application.
  • After submission, you will receive an Application ID Receipt. Download and save this receipt for future reference.
