Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme

Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) was introduced in the academic year 2006-07 by the Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare, to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards of Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Coast Guard personnel and their widows.

Widow Pension (CBOCWWB)

Under this scheme, financial assistance in the form of a monthly pension shall be given to the widows of male registered construction workers of the Board.

Educational Allowances to the Children of Widows

“Educational Allowances to the Children of Widows” by the Dept of Women & Child Development, Govt of Pondicherry, was introduced to provide financial assistance (₹25 to ₹125) for the education of poor widows’ children up to higher secondary or equivalent.

Additional Pension to Widow of Ex-Serviceman having Children

The scheme is implemented by the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Haryana. Under the scheme, an additional amount, in addition to the pension, is provided to the widow of an ex-serviceman who dies while in service but not in any battle.

Financial Assistance to War Widows of Defence Forces

Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹3,000/- per month shall be granted to War Widows of Defence Force Personnel’s (Army, Navy & Air Force) who were killed in action during declared war of 1962, 1965 & 1971 in addition to family pension already getting from Government of India.

IMA Nongthangleima Yaipha Tengbang Scheme

The “Ima Nongthangleima Yaipha Tengbang Scheme” provides support to approximately 4 lakh women in Manipur who are above the age of 40 years. The scheme aims to empower these women by offering crucial financial assistance, thereby aiding them in pursuing diverse livelihood options.

Marriage Grant to War Widows’ Daughters of Ex-Servicemen

The scheme is implemented by the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Haryana. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹21,000/- is provided to the war widows for marriage of their dependent daughters, for up to two daughters who are at least 18 years old.

Mahila Samridhi Yojana (Maharashtra)

“Mahila Samridhi Yojana” is administered by the Dept. of Social Justice & Special Assistance, Govt. of Maharashtra. The scheme aims to uplift economically weaker women from the Charmakar Community. Loans ranging from ₹25,000/- to ₹50,000/- are granted at a low interest rate of 4% p.a.

Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (Maharashtra)

“Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (Maharashtra)” is a scheme by the Social Justice & Special Assistance Dept, Govt of Maharashtra. In this scheme, widows aged 40 to 79 years who are from a BPL family receive a pension of ₹1500/- per month.

Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (Punjab)

“Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS)” provides a pension of ₹300/- per month to widows aged 40 years and above. After attaining the age of 80 years, the pension amount increases to ₹500/- per month.

Grant of Marriage Allowance to the Widow’s Daughter

This scheme aims to provide financial support to widows for the marriage of their daughters. Eligible widows can receive ₹25,000/- to cover marriage expenses. The scheme is implemented through the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Puducherry.

Pension to Widows and Destitute Women

Under this scheme, widows and destitute women aged 18 years and above are eligible for a pension if they are domiciles of Haryana and have been residing in the state for at least one year at the time of application submission.

Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme – Sikkim

The scheme “Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS)” by the Department of Women & Child Welfare, Govt. of Sikkim provides financial support is provided to the poor widows of the state of Sikkim. The beneficiary receives a monthly pension of ₹ 2000/- through DBT.
