Mahatama Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana
The Scheme “Mahatama Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana” was launched during 2005-06 by Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Dept. of Govt. of Odisha to provide enhanced insurance cover to the handloom weavers in the case of natural as well as accidental death and in cases of total or partial disability.
Award Scheme to Encourage Entrepreneurs
The scheme aims to encourage and recognize the exceptional craftsmanship and weaving skills of registered artisans and weavers in the state. It provides awards at both the state and district levels to outstanding performers in the handicrafts and handloom (cotton and woolen textile) sectors.
