“Supply of Invalid Carriages (Motorized Tri-cycles) to the Persons With Disabilities” by the Dept of Social Welfare, Govt of Puducherry is introduced to supply invalid carriages (motorised tricycles) free of cost to the differently abled persons engaged in gainful employment or pursuing education.
“Grant of Subsidy for Procurement of Vehicle” aims to facilitate the quick transportation of fish catches from landing centers to marketing places, thereby preventing/minimizing spoilage of fish. It provides a 50% subsidy for the procurement of specified vehicles.

“One Time Cash Incentive towards Learning Driving” is a Welfare Scheme by the Dept of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry. Through this scheme, up to ₹4,000/- is provided to the unemployed Ex-servicemen to learn to drive. The driving course should be taken from a Government-recognized School/Institution.
Under the scheme, loans are provided to differently-abled persons for commercial hiring purposes up to ₹10.00 lakhs, and for the purchase of special category vehicles like JCBs, trucks, road rollers, etc., loans up to ₹25.00 lakhs are available.
The scheme aims to provide a subsidy per unit for purchasing insulated vehicles for the beneficiaries to promote cold-chain logistics in fish transportation.
The scheme is aimed at enabling individuals to operate motorcycle taxis, offering a low-cost, efficient solution for short-distance travel, especially in congested or remote areas.
