A scholarship scheme by Ministry of Minority Affairs for students from minority communities studying in Class 1st to Class 10th in India in a government or private school, including such residential Government institutes and eligible private institutes selected and notified in a transparent manner.
Launched in June 2006 under the Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities, the “Post-Matric Scholarship for Students Belonging to the Minority Communities” by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, aims to provide better opportunities for higher education.
The “Educational Study Scheme” provides financial assistance in the form of loans for self-supporting graduate-level courses in professional fields such as Medical, Dental, Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Nursing, Homeopathy, Veterinary, and similar disciplines.
A scholarship scheme by DoEPwDs for Students with Disabilities (SwDs) pursuing studies beyond class 12th admitted in a full-time course in one of the ‘notified institutions’.
A scholarship scheme by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for Scheduled Caste students pursuing studies beyond class 12th admitted in a full-time course in one of the notified institutions. The total annual family income from all sources must be less than or equal to Rs. 8.00 lakh.
Under this scheme, scholarships and tuition fee reimbursement are provided to specially-abled students belonging to families with an annual income not exceeding ₹2.00 lakh, who are regularly studying in government and recognized educational institutions.
A scholarship scheme by Ministry of Tribal Affairs for regular, full time students from Scheduled Tribe studying in Class 9th and 10th, in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
