The purpose of National Awards to Teachers is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honor those teachers who through their commitment and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students.
The scheme “State Awards to Teachers” aims to celebrate the unique contribution of the finest teachers in the state and honor those who have improved the quality of school education and enriched students’ lives. Ten state awards consisting of ₹100,000 and a citation each are provided to teachers.
“National Awards to Teachers” aims to celebrate the contributions of outstanding teachers and enhance the quality of school education. This award provides public recognition and honours the commitment of teachers, benefiting meritorious teachers working in primary, middle, and secondary schools.
This scheme provides financial assistance to permanent teachers and librarians of colleges and vice-chancellors of state universities, deemed to be universities and central universities to present research papers at international conferences abroad.
The scheme “Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE)” was launched by Science & Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India which aims to facilitate mobility of faculty members working in State Universities /Colleges/Private Academic institutions.
The scheme “Scholarship to 2 Years Pre-Service Student Teachers undergoing D.El.Ed Programme at DIETs and CTTC Sohra” was launched by the Dept. of Education, Govt. of Meghalaya in 2012. The scheme offers a scholarship of ₹5000 p.m. for 2 years (10 months per year) to attract the state’s best talent.
Sastraposhini is a programme envisaged by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) for strengthening science education in schools of Kerala.
