The “Jharkhand Sports Excellence Cash Award Scheme to Players” aims to provide cash awards to athletes for exceptional achievements in national and international competitions, as per the Jharkhand Sports Policy, 2022.
The “Khel Chhatravriti (Vritika) Yojana” implemented by the Directorate of Art, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand, provides financial assistance to athletes based on their performance to encourage sports as a career.
The scheme “Laxman Award/Rani Laxmi Bai Award” was launched by the Department of Sports, Government of Uttar Pradesh to honor special sports personalities of the state, differently-abled players and the Laxman Award, the highest sports award of the state will be given posthumously to Shahid.
The “Jharkhand Sportsperson Pension Scheme” aims to provide financial support to retired athletes for their lifelong contribution to sports. Athletes, including Arjuna, Dronacharya, and Dhyan Chand awardees, Olympic participants, and Commonwealth or Asian Games medalists, receive a monthly pension.
The award is given to the sportspersons of Odisha who have achieved outstanding performance in any of the recognized sports during the year making the State of Odisha and India proud.
Under this scheme, cash prizes and free training are provided to talented players and encourage participation at multiple levels like Gram Panchayat, Development Block, District, and state while providing an opportunity for free training to meritorious players before competing at the state level.
The award is given to the sportspersons who have not only good performances at National and International levels but also have continued to contribute to the promotion of sports and games in his/her individual capacity even after retirement from an active sporting career.
The Scheme was launched by the Department of Sports & Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha to provide financial assistance to sportspersons of Odisha to help them become qualified coaches, by undertaking SAI, NSNIS coaching courses, so as to improve their employability.
Launched on 9th February 2024, “Mukhyamantri Sports Development Scheme – Unemployed Young Professional Sportsperson” was launched by the Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of Tripura. The scheme aims to generate employment opportunities for young experienced professional sportspersons
The scheme of PDUNWFS is being implemented with the objective of providing financial assistance to outstanding sportspersons/family members living in indigent circumstances for various purposes like ameliorate condition, medical treatment, injuries, procurement of sports equipment etc.
