The “Production of Foundation Seeds” scheme, provides subsidies to farmers cultivating seed farms for pulses, offering specific benefits to SC/ST farmers and farm women.
Sugarcane Development Scheme
The “Sugarcane Development Scheme” by the Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry, Govt of Uttarakhand, aims to support quality sugarcane cultivation. It provides subsidies to farmers for nursery development, seed/soil treatment, and sett treatment to manage pests and diseases.
Quality Paddy Seed Distribution
The “Quality Paddy Seed Distribution” Scheme offers a subsidy of ₹5/- per kg on certified paddy seeds.
National Food Security Mission NFSM
National Food Security Mission was launched in 2007-08 to increase the production of rice, wheat and pulses. Later, coarse cereals, nutri cereals, commercial crops (sugarcane, jute, and cotton) were also added to the mission.
