This scheme aims to provide additional financial assistance of ₹500/- per month to children of individuals working in cleaning/sanitation profession. This assistance is given to students already receiving a scholarship under Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme, ensuring their continued education.
Under this scheme, loans of up to ₹1,00,000 are provided to sanitation workers and their dependents at an interest rate of 6% for self-employment in animal husbandry or related activities.
The scheme aims to uplift scavengers & their dependents by offering term loans of ₹1,00,000/- to ₹15,00,000/- to support them in starting self‐employment ventures in various trades & professions, enabling them to pursue income‐generating activities and lead dignified lives.
The objective of the scheme is to motivate students from marginalized sections of society, whose parents are involved in unclean & hazardous occupations, to pursue their education. Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹1,850/- per annum is provided to students from Class 1 to Class 10.
