With the objective of providing rural connectivity, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (referred to as PMGSY-I hereinafter) on 25th December 2000 to provide all-weather access to eligible unconnected habitations.

The scheme “Ramai Awas (Gharkul) Scheme for SC & Nav-Buddha (Urban and Rural)” is a housing scheme by the Department of Social Justice & Special Assistance of the Government of Maharashtra. The scheme aims to raise the standard of living of the Scheduled Caste and Nav-Buddha communities.
“Chief Minister Rural Path Vendor Loan Scheme” by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh provides working capital assistance of up to ₹10,000, promotes regular loan repayment, and trains entrepreneurs in business practices. The scheme targets small traders.
The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying introduced the National Livestock Mission as umbrella scheme. The “Sub-mission on Breed Development of Livestock and Poultry” is the realigned National Livestock Mission, which is the scheme’s sub-mission.
The scheme “Mukhyamantri Swasthya Sahayata Yojana” by the Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, & Backward Classes Welfare Department, Govt. of Jharkhand, aims to provide medical financial aid to beneficiaries. The scheme provides margin money subsidies (25–30%) for new rural industrial projects (₹1,00,000/- to 25,00,000/-) to artisans, entrepreneurs, and SHGs, leveraging a 24-hour electricity supply in villages. Beneficiaries must be aged 25–50 years with a Class 10th education.
The scheme aims to support rural entrepreneurs in setting up industries using local resources. Through this scheme, interest subsidy on bank-financed projects up to ₹5,00,000 is provided.

The scheme “Training in Coir” by the Dept of Industries and Commerce, UT of Puducherry aims to promote and develop Coir and Coir-based industries in the region. Additionally, it focuses on providing a 6-month training to the rural poor in producing coir products to generate employment.
The scheme “Chief Minister’s Housing Assistance Programme” by the Housing Department, Government of Meghalaya, aims to provide durable housing to EWS and LIG families. Through this scheme, roofing materials and dwelling houses are provided to eligible families in the State.
