The Government of Kerala launched the “Cancer Suraksha Scheme” on 1st November 2008 for children below the age of 18 who suffer from cancer and belong to such families which are too poor to afford treatment. This scheme was launched under Kerala Social Security Mission.
The Odisha State Treatment Fund will provide financial assistance for treatment of the poor patients suffering from life threatening disorders & diseases. The financial assistance will be released to the Medical Institutions where the patient undergoes treatment.
The scheme “Pension Scheme for Grade II Deformed Leprosy Patients” is a Pension Scheme by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura. The scheme provides financial assistance of ₹2,000/- per month to Leprosy Patients who are residents of Tripura.
The State Government has launched the ‘Sahara Scheme’ to provide financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month to the patients belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society, who are suffering from specified diseases such Parkinson, Malignant Cancer, Paralysis etc.
The scheme “Financial Grants in Aid to SC/ST patients suffering from cancer and other malignant diseases” was launched by the Government of Assam in 2017 to provide financial assistance in the form of grants in Aid to SC/ST patients who are suffering from cancer and other malignant diseases.
The scheme “Chief Minister’s Free Cancer Chemotherapy Scheme” was launched by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Arunachal Pradesh on 1st August 2017 to tackle the growing incidences of cancer in the state.
