The scheme “Opening and Maintenance of Boys and Girls Hostels” by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Dept, Government of Puducherry, provides boarding/lodging and hostel facilities to Scheduled Caste students in pursuance of their education and to dissuade dropping of education at school and college level.
The scheme “Home for the Aged and Infirm” was launched by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Puducherry. The objective of this scheme is to cater to the needs of persons who are aged/infirm, i.e. senior citizens, both male and female above the age of 60 years from BPL Family.
This scheme provides free pre-examination training, boarding, and lodging for Adi Dravidar and Tribal community candidates preparing for All India Service Examinations like IAS, IPS, and IRS.
