The Government of West Bengal has undertaken a housing project scheme named ” PRATYASHA” for Police Personnel (from Inspectors to Constables) working in the West Bengal Police to materialize their dreams of owning houses.
“Ashraya Adhar Scheme” is introduced to provide financial assistance in the form of loans to the members of Scheduled Tribes for the purpose of repair, renovation/reconstruction of houses. The Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation has introduced this scheme.
The scheme “Grant of House Construction Subsidy to Scheduled Caste People” was introduced by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Dept, Govt of Puducherry. The poor Scheduled Caste people, and other Economically backward class people, who meet the eligibility criteria, are provided house construction subsidy.
Labour and ESI Department, Government of Odisha has introduced a scheme “Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana (NSPGY)” to meet the housing needs of the building and other construction workers in rural areas, registered under the Odisha Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (OB&OCWWB).
The scheme “Advance for Purchase or Construction of House” was started by the Department of Labour and Employment, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh for the registered workers of Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB).
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to construction workers registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board to build their own houses.
Under the scheme, an advance loan is provided to registered construction workers for the purchase or construction of a house, subject to the conditions specified by the Board.
Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹1,20,000/- is provided to Scheduled Caste individuals who do not own a residential home, have an old rough residential home, or own a plot for residence, and who belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category for the construction of a house.
“Grant of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Award for Clean Houses” was introduced by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Dept, Govt of Puducherry. The objective of the scheme is to motivate the Scheduled Caste people to keep their houses neat and tidy. Incentives are in the form of household articles worth ₹500/-.
Through this scheme, the homeless poor Scheduled Caste people, and other Economically backward class people, who meet the eligibility criteria, are provided housing sites to enable them to construct their own houses. Approximately 11,000 persons so far have benefitted from this scheme.
The government of Odisha is committed to providing Pucca houses to all the rural households living in Kutcha houses. State Government with a view to achieving this objective launched “Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY)” during the year 2014.
The scheme “State Welfare Scheme for Purohits” was launched in September 2020 to benefit the financially distressed practicing temple /tribal purohit or priests of other communities like Christians, Jain, and Buddhists.
Through the “Thatched House Repair Grant for Re-thatching & Repairs” scheme, up to ₹40,000/- is provided to the registered ESM / Widows of ESM / Dependents of ESM every three years, for the re-thatching & repair of their house. The applicant should be receiving a Subsistence Allowance.
Under this scheme, interest free loan is provided to registered construction workers, who have minimum five year’s regular membership, for purchase or construction of their houses. This facility is available once in lifetime.
The scheme “NIJASHAREE HOUSING SCHEME” is an initiative by the Govt. of West Bengal which envisages the construction of multi-storied Lower Income Group (LIG)/Middle Income Group (MIG) flats on the public lands belonging to the State Government, local bodies and parastatals.
Under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme, beneficiaries of Middle-Income Group (MIG) can seek housing loans from Banks, Housing Finance Companies and other such institutions for acquisition/ construction of house (including re-purchase).
In urban areas, where EWS/LIG houses have been allotted by Local Self-Government Organization/Urban Development Authority & Gujarat Housing Board under Chief Minister/Prime Minister Awas Yojana, the benefit of this scheme is given once per family to construction worker registered in the board.
“Advance for Purchase or Construction of House” is a Welfare Scheme by the Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Dept of Labour and Employment, Goa. The worker registered with the Board is sanctioned financial assistance of upto ₹50,000 for the purchase/construction of a house.
Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹1,30,000 is provided for constructing houses in hilly areas and ₹1,20,000 for plain areas to homeless Scheduled Caste families who are below the poverty line (BPL) or fall within a defined income limit.
