The Scheme will be implemented “Mukhyarrantri Bayan Jyoti Yojana” (MBJY) under Chief Minister’s Special Package for Handloom weavers.
The Swanirbhar Naari scheme, initiated by the Directorate of Handloom & Textiles, Assam, aims to promote traditional hand-woven items by procuring them directly from indigenous weavers.
The scheme targets the children of these weavers, offering financial assistance of up to ₹2,00,000 annually. This support covers tuition, admission, and examination fees at recognized textile institutions. Additionally, beneficiaries receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000.
The “40% subsidy on Hank Yarn, Dyes & Chemicals Scheme” is a Subsidy Scheme by the Dept. of Handlooms & Textiles, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The assistance will be in the form of Grant from the State Govt. The subsidy will be available only on purchases / procurements from NHDC & APCO.

“Assistance to Individual Handloom Weaver” is a sub-scheme under “West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, implemented by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to provide one-time financial assistance to the individual Handloom weavers.
The “Kaimagga Vikasa Yojana” aims to sustain and develop the handloom weaving skills of existing weavers and to attract young talent to the industry, thus preserving the rich cultural heritage of handloom weaving in Karnataka.
In 2020 amidst the Covid pandemic, Chief Minister of Karnataka launched a mega scheme Karnataka Nekar Samman Yojana. It was a relief scheme to provide financial support to destitute weaver of state engaged in the handloom and textile industry whose livelihood was adversely affected by the pandemic.
“Scheme for Wage Compensation to Handloom Weaver Families” by the Dept. of Handlooms & Textiles, Andhra Pradesh aims to provide wage compensation relief to handloom weaver families. A relief assistance of ₹4,000 per weaver family is provided to compensate for wage loss during the rainy season.
“Uchch Shiksha Puraskar Yojana” aims to encourage and motivate students from weaver families to pursue higher education. ₹20,000/- is provided to talented students from weaver families who get admission in first year of Engineering/Medical/CA/MBA courses in any government college in Chhattisgarh.
The Scheme “Mahatama Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana” was launched during 2005-06 by Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Dept. of Govt. of Odisha to provide enhanced insurance cover to the handloom weavers in the case of natural as well as accidental death and in cases of total or partial disability.
“Varishtha Bunkar Samman Yojana” aims to encourage senior weavers in the handloom sector. The scheme provides financial assistance of ₹11,000/- to active weaver members who are 60 years or older and have produced the maximum cloth in their district.
The scheme aims to encourage and recognize the exceptional craftsmanship and weaving skills of registered artisans and weavers in the state. It provides awards at both the state and district levels to outstanding performers in the handicrafts and handloom (cotton and woolen textile) sectors.
The scheme aims to provide adequate and timely assistance from the banks to the handloom sector to meet their credit requirements for term loan & working capital in a flexible and cost effective manner across the country.
“Supply of Yarn to Societies etc. at Subsidized Rate” is a sub-scheme under “West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to provide supply of subsidized yarn to the PWCS, Khadi Weavers’ Societies etc.
This is a sub-scheme under the “Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)”, implemented by the Dept. of Industries, U.T. Administration Of DNH & DD, that aims to provide financial assistance for purchase of machinery or raw materials for development of their business.
“Support for One Time Settlement (OTS) of NPA Accounts of PWCS” is a sub-scheme under “West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024” by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to make PWCS debt free by providing financial support for OTS of NPA accounts.
The scheme “Infrastructure & Technology Support: URBAN HAAT” is introduced is to set up a permanent marketing infrastructure in towns/ metropolitan cities to provide direct marketing facilities to handicrafts artisans/handloom weavers, enabling them to sell their products to wider target audience.
“Assistance to Viable and Potentially Viable PWCS” is a sub-scheme under “West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to provide financial assistance to the societies who will fulfill the criteria of viability.
