Under this scheme, fish farmers are provided insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh in case of accidental death/total permanent disability, ₹2.5 lakh for partial disability, & ₹50,000 for hospitalization. No premium is required to be paid by fish farmers, entire cost of the insurance is fully borne by Dept.
The scheme “Subsidy for the Purchase of Wooden/Fiber Reinforced Plastic/Steel Mechanised Boats” is introduced by the Government of Puducherry with the objective of increasing marine fish production by extending subsidies for the procurement of wooden/fiber-reinforced plastic/steel mechanized boats.
“Grant of Subsidy for Procurement of Vehicle” aims to facilitate the quick transportation of fish catches from landing centers to marketing places, thereby preventing/minimizing spoilage of fish. It provides a 50% subsidy for the procurement of specified vehicles.
The scheme “Conversion/Modernisation of Mechanised Fishing Boats for Deep Sea Fishing” is introduced by the Dept of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Govt of Puducherry to increase marine fish production by extending grants for the conversion/modernization of mechanized boats for deep-sea fishing.
Through this scheme, 50% of the actual cost of the Wooden/ Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Fishing Vessel (Canoe) purchased by the fishermen is covered by the Government of Goa. The applicant will be entitled to a subsidy grant once every four years on one craft per family household.
“Annual Insurance Premium for Boat Owners” under “Financial Assistance for Availing Subsidy Components for the Development of Marine Fisheries” is introduced to increase marine fish production through subsidies for the annual premiums for insurance coverage paid by the mechanized boat operators.
The scheme “Subsidy for the Purchase of Fiber-reinforced Plastic Cattamaran/ Vallam/ Wooden Nava/ Marine Plywood Canoe With Nets” is introduced to increase marine fish production by extending subsidies to the fishermen for the procurement of fiber-reinforced plastic vallam with nets.
The State plan scheme “MMKY-Financial Assistance for New Boat, Engine, and Net” was launched by the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department, Government of Odisha in order to increase the marine fish production and to enhance incomes and livelihoods of the marine fishers.
The scheme “Financial Grant for Reactivation of Mechanised Boats” is introduced by the Govt of Puducherry with the objective of increasing marine fish production by extending financial grants for the reactivation of wooden/steel mechanized boats.
In the “Financial Assistance to Gad-Hanjis”, financial assistance for the purchase of Nylon Twine is provided to the Licensed Fisherman by the Social Welfare Department. The beneficiary shall approach the concerned District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) for submission of the application.
The scheme aims to provide 4% interest subvention to the fishermen in Gujarat on timely repayment of short-term loans taken through the Kisan Credit Card.
The scheme “Reimbursement/ Spot Exemption of Sales Tax on High-Speed Diesel Oil” under “Financial Assistance for Availing Subsidy Components for the Development of Marine Fisheries” introduced to reimburse the sales tax on high-speed diesel oil used by the registered mechanized boat operators.
The scheme “Immediate Relief Assistance” under “Welfare and Relief for Fishermen During Lean Seasons and Natural Calamities Scheme” is introduced to extend financial assistance to the fishermen’s families to compensate for the loss due to the missing breadwinner and to support them financially.
The scheme “Fishing Ban Period Assistance” under “Welfare and Relief for Fishermen During Lean Seasons and Natural Calamities Scheme” is introduced with the objective of assisting fishermen families who are deprived of income during natural calamities and fishing ban periods.
The scheme “Immediate Death Relief Assistance” is introduced with the objective of extending financial assistance to the fishermen’s families to compensate for the loss due to the sudden demise of the breadwinner and to support them financially to run their family.
The scheme aims to provide the beneficiary with a mobile seafood van. This van, financed through a combination of bank loan and departmental subsidy (25% and 75%, respectively), is intended for the sale of fresh and processed fish and fishery products in areas not served by regular markets.
