Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme

Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) was introduced in the academic year 2006-07 by the Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare, to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards of Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Coast Guard personnel and their widows.

World War II Pension

The aim of the scheme is to provide lifelong financial assistance of ₹15,000/- per month as a measure of relief to World War II ex-servicemen and their widows who are not receiving any pension or financial assistance from any other source.

Free Computer Training

“Free Computer Training” is a social security scheme that provides free of cost computer training to widows, dependents of the ex-servicemen and soldiers.

Scholarship for Engineering and Medical Education

The scheme aims to support the higher education of dependents of ex-servicemen by providing financial assistance for pursuing engineering, medical, and PhD courses. Under this scheme, annual scholarships are awarded to beneficiaries based on their course of study.

Assistance for Daughter’s Marriage

Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹25,000/- per girl is provided for a maximum of two marriageable daughters of widows of ex-servicemen up to the rank of Havaldar, who are not receiving a Marriage Grant from the Kendriya Sainik Board.

Free Pre-Recruitment Training

“Free Pre-Recruitment Training” is a social security scheme that provides free of cost pre-recruitment training to the sons of the ex-servicemen for the recruitment in Army/Para-Military Forces and Police Forces.

Financial Assistance to Orphan Children of Ex-Servicemen

Under the scheme, financial assistance of ₹3,000/‐ per month shall be granted to those Orphan Children of Ex-Servicemen only who are bonafide resident of the Haryana State and are not in receipt of any kind of financial assistance from any Department of Haryana Government.
