The scheme aims to support Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) by offering financial aid up to ₹1,20,000/- for house construction. This scheme also ensures that Economically Weaker Sections receive support in securing shelter.
“Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC and DNT Students for studying in India” aims at providing financial assistance to OBC, EWS and DNT students to support their education. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowances, and other academic expenses.
Under the scheme, a cash award of ₹50,000 will be given to students studying in government schools affiliated with the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer, who secure the highest marks in the EWS category in the Class 10th and Class 12th examinations (Arts, Commerce, and Science streams).
Under this scheme, meritorious girl students from government and private schools who have scored 85% or above in the Class 10th and 12th (Arts, Commerce, Science streams) examinations are provided with a free scooty, along with a helmet and petrol.
The ‘Sathiyavanimuthu Ammaiyar Ninaivu Free Supply of Sewing Machine Scheme’ was launched by the Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, Tamil Nadu. The scheme aims to provide sewing machines to destitute, deserted women/widows, differently abled men & women to increase self-employment.
With a view to extend the benefits of equity and access to quality education to the economically weak students, the University has introduced a financial support scheme for such students which will include fee waiver of all components of fee paid by students (except examination fee & hostel fee).
Under this scheme, free bicycles will be distributed to 5,800 girl students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), who are studying in government schools from Class 6 to Class 8, to facilitate their commute between home and school.
The Tripura Health Assurance Scheme for Poor (THASP) was instituted to provide financial assistance as cashless treatment with health coverage of up to Rs. 1.15 lakh per annum to individuals in the state who fall below the poverty line and have an annual income of less than Rs. 1.5 lakh.
The scheme “Chief Minister’s Housing Assistance Programme” by the Housing Department, Government of Meghalaya, aims to provide durable housing to EWS and LIG families. Through this scheme, roofing materials and dwelling houses are provided to eligible families in the State.
