The scheme “Snehayanam Scheme for Mothers of Persons with Special Needs” was launched by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala.

The scheme aims to promote self-employment among youth from the Thakor and Koli communities by providing loans of up to ₹4,00,000/- for the purchase of commercial vehicles such as auto-rickshaws, loading rickshaws, or a Maruti Eeco van to start an income-generating transport business.
