The “Gen Next Competition” scheme was launched by the Department of Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles & Khadi, Govt. of Tamil Nadu. A craft competition was started from the year 2013-2014 to encourage the youth to retain the traditional handicrafts of Tamil Nadu & pass them on to the next generation.
The “Financial Assistance to Traditional Artisans (Panchavrutthi Scheme)” provides financial assistance to traditional artisans of the Vishwakarma community in Karnataka. The scheme aims to help these artisans purchase modern tools & upgrade their technological skills to enhance their trade.
The scheme aims to empower tribal women artisans of Tharu, Boksa and Other Tribal Communities through specialized training and marketing opportunities and ensures the provision of financial assistance for travel, logistics, and stall rent for participating artisans.
“Scheme of Death Benefit for Weavers & Artisans of West Bengal” is a social welfare scheme implemented by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal aims to provide financial assistance to the family of the deceased weaver /artisan.
The “Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Living cum work shed Construction Scheme” provides financial assistance to houseless leather artisans for constructing Living cum Work Sheds through the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation.
“Support for Digital Marketing” is a sub-scheme under “West Bengal Artisans Financial Benefit Scheme”, by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal, aims to provide access to digital markets and e-commerce to the artisans.
Launched on 15th August 2022, the scheme “Bima Yojana – Direct Benefit to Artisan (BYDBTA)” is a Social Welfare Scheme by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
“Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Rozgar Yojna” has been designed, developed, and promoted by the Delhi Khadi & Village Industries Board, with the help of the Government of NCT of Delhi, to provide employment opportunities.
The “Living Craft Treasure Award” scheme was launched by the Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles, and Khadi Department, Govt. of Tamil Nadu. This is the highest award for handicrafts at the state level was introduced in the year 2013-2014 to craftsperson of eminence who are above the age of 65 years.
