Krishak Bakri Palan Yojna

The Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Himachal Pradesh has introduced a scheme named “Krishak Bakri Palan Yojna” with the aim to increase income generation opportunities for economically weaker segments of the society as well as to increase meat production.

Animal Husbandry

This scheme provides subsidies on the distribution of sheep units, milch animals, and calves, as well as health coverage and artificial insemination for the animals. It is targeted at Tribal communities to improve their livelihood through animal husbandry.

Intensive Castration Scheme

The “Intensive Castration Scheme” introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to control the stray animal population by castrating male calves and helps in reducing accidents caused by stray male animals in rural and urban areas.

Establishment of 1 to 20 Milch Animal Farm

The “Establishment of 1 to 20 Milch Animal Farm” scheme introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, provides financial assistance in the form of an interest subsidy to livestock farmers to take up animal husbandry as a sustainable business.

Training and Tour Unit

“Training and Tour Unit” scheme by the Department of Agriculture Extension, Government of Uttarakhand aims to provide agricultural training to farmers, rural youth, and extension workers through university-led programs and field tours.

Pashu Palan Yojana (GSKVN)

Under this scheme, loans of up to ₹1,00,000 are provided to sanitation workers and their dependents at an interest rate of 6% for self-employment in animal husbandry or related activities.

Supply of Fodder Minikit

The “Supply of Fodder Minikit” scheme introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to provide improved varieties of fodder seeds to farmers.

Compensation in Animal Death

The “Compensation in Animal Death” scheme introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, provides financial assistance to animal breeders who suffer livestock losses due to natural disasters, diseases, or poisoning.

Scheme for Establishment of Hi-Tech and Mini Dairy Units

Under this scheme, unemployed persons will be assisted by way of providing financial assistance in form of subsidy for establishing dairy units of 4, 10, 20 & 50 milch animals like buffaloes, indigenous cows (Hariana, Sahiwal, Belahi, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar and Gir breeds only) and crossbred cows.

Assistance for Cattleshed, Gaman, Water Tank and Bucket

The scheme “Assistance for Cattleshed, Gaman, Water Tank and Bucket” introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Dept., Gujarat, aims to support livestock farmers by offering financial assistance for essential infrastructure such as cattle sheds, gaman, water tanks, and buckets.
